Day 3
We have just had our first 'rodizio', an all you can eat buffet where different cuts of meat are continuously sliced for you so you don't even have to move, not that you easily could after the first ten or so minutes. Naturally Rob and I hooned it, foregoing lunch to save some Reals. Great meals though, rodizios will no doubt be a feature of the holiday.
Booked our flights to Manaus today, and a hostel for a couple of nights. We're leaving Sao Paulo a couple of nights early, not because its not an interesting city, but we really want to get out to Manaus and last night ended up being fairly expensive - might have a few more here at the end of our holiday though.
Walked around a flash, designer clothesy area today called 'Jardins'. Classy and safe feeling (as Vila Madeline was but a lot of SP isn't).Apart from that its been a quiet, chilled out day.
The only other news is that Natwest have blocked my card, despite me telling them I was going to Brazil, and I can't check my Nationwide ballance in any ATM here. Might take a couple of phone calls and nothing else to sort out, but its still a nuisance. Want to stear clear of money trouble over here.
